Hello, my name is Riley Paschall and I worked as a seasonal staff member here at Clear Lake for May 2024. I am from metro Detroit Michigan and am currently a student at Northern Michigan University studying fisheries and wildlife management, with a wildlife focus. I am passionate about the outdoors and sharing that love with others. During my free time you may find me trying to soak up any outdoor activity and trying new things.

After I discovered Clear Lake Education Center, I knew I had to join the team as sharing and educating about environmental stewardship is important to me. During May, I assisted on the high ropes challenge course and led team building activities. I was also lucky enough to teach a program about black bears and their role in the ecosystem and food web. With each thing I instructed, it was great to see the students open up and ask questions or share the things they know. I am fortunate to have been able to work in this unique environment and get the opportunity to connect with others over the outdoors.

In her post-employment survey, Riley had this to say: Something I learned about myself is

“I learned I am more capable of doing new things than I thought I could be!”
