Team Building

Our goal is to help you:

  • Understand the importance of clear communication to teamwork

  • Learn or hone cooperative problem solving skills

  • Improve interactions with each other and customers

  • Bring your group together as a unit to create a more effective and vital work atmosphere

The effectiveness of any given organization or agency has at its heart quality teamwork and communication that sets the standard for how individuals relate not only to each other but also to the people they serve. To get to that magical place requires laying a foundation of trust, cooperation, openness, and encouragement.

How do we accomplish that? We start with ice breakers and energizers which are designed to relax the group, and if needed, help individuals get to know each other better. Then, we move into some simple activities that prepare the group to work as a team on our Low Ropes Course.

The Low Ropes Course entails a series of ground-based, problem solving experiences that challenge teams mentally and physically, working together to accomplish objectives and act as safety systems for one another. It requires an openness to ideas and opinions expressed by peers and creates a positive environment in which to explore possibilities for success. Concepts of cooperation, cohesion, efficiency, and leadership are explored which can be applied in the everyday world.

From there, some groups move on to a High Ropes Course experience where individuals are challenged to complete a series of elements 18 feet off the ground. The High Ropes Course challenges not only physical ability, but also preconceived notions of self and peers by taking participants out of standard “comfort zones” and requiring them to reassess where their strengths lie. It focuses on personal achievement, goal setting, positive encouragement, partnering/support, and overcoming preconceptions.

**Due to the nature of the activity and the construction of the course, age, height, and weight restrictions apply.**
